What is Neural Rig?
The T3D Neural Rig Project is an entire DIY Guitar Multi FX ecosystem that is highly customizable, scalable 3D printed hardware, and a guitar multi FX suite UI that mirrors Reaper as its back end audio engine.
The NOS UI (Neural Rig Opperating System) can direct load from Tone 3000 currently to five NAM Gateway instances inside Reaper. The Core of the UI is written; The main UI screen features your FX block chain displaying each block status. The Amp Block is the first FX block as its the most complex featuring the loader plus five card blocks inside itself. So you have A,B,C,D and E amps that are footswitch assignable. There are more features I want to add yet before I lock this down as the mainj FX block Template. Once I have this established it will make the rest of the FX blocks a breeze. Once here I need to get the top main menu features working on the main UI screen. This is where we will save presets, set scenes / snap shots / custom foot switch assignement, foot switch number configuiration setting, recorder mirror inside reaper, looper and other features we can access inside Reaper.
Neural Rig UI will likely only be supported on the LattePanda boards with Windows 10 Enterprize. Installation should be fairly easy but I havent quite crossed that bridge as a packaged folder. Windows I think will be much more viable for NOS as setting up Reaper is pretty straight forward once this is saved its the only file in Reaper NOS accesses. This is partly how it will remember its settings by using reapers save feature. Windows has ASIO and Neural Rig Station is a rougged 3D printed Multi FX floor that supports 8 foot switches on the unit with a 7 inch touch screen and fits on a standard printer. So its audio bay should be large enough to fit units with ASIO support. So far test are showing Reapers reported latency sub 5 ms and with the Bolanle GT2 set to sharring is getting sub 3 ms!! But we still need to add FX and all the rest.
So in the mean time builders can build PiStomp with the RPi Revise mnt Trays. Ill be working on getting the STL's out for purchase asap along with pre printed units
