T3D Traxx Dozer
Ive been busy!!
Ok so what started out as a project for Ultimate Scale RC turned into its own product line. T3D Traxx!!
So this is a 1:10 scale tracked Dozer. Ive been wanting to build this for a few years as I needed a tool to upkeep the scale crawler course. We dont want to walk on it and in some places you have to crawl in the brush. lol.
So what Ive been looking for; is a skid steer, dozer, front end loader for this task but would actually do real work. But it seems choices are limmited. They are either 1/14 scale or jump to 1/4 scale with not much in between. then there is the cheap toys that cant do much or they are very expensive. So this is where I come in. So at first I was planning to replicate a CAT D3 modern dozer. But after some design work and research of the D3 plus the off the shelf components and then 3D print design that will do work. I decided to change coarse slightly to expidite this development as this will become many more products. So instead of replicating the CAT I used it as the core scale driver but not replicating it exact as that alone takes tons of fime. So the T3D Dozer is true the CAT D3 Dimensions and core build architecture.
This then took on a life of its own as I come up with a really good idea for DIY scale hydraulics using Parastalic pumps. They are stupid simple, cheap compact and will work perfectly for this. However I have to develop DIY hydraulic cylinders. So that is underway as the foundation of the printed Dozer are complete and Im starting printing now.
So now there are going to be two different product lines. One is T3D Traxx and then there will be Ulitmate Scale RC Heavy Equipment. I am starting with the C60 Dump Truck conversion using the existing Super Scale conversion kits but adding on the C60 front clip and 3D printed Carbon Fiber frame and front 2 wd drive suspension. Then there will be the attachments. Dump box, tank sprayers, Tow Truck Impliment Box Van, what ever has been done we can replicate it. Then I have a Ford 9N and Cat Skid Steer that will be part of the HDE devision of Ultimate Scale.
Ok now this is where T3D Traxx comes in. Before I replicate the real deal I will likely build a prototype first and this will be a T3D Traxx product. T3D Traxx will expand to a utility traxx platform and evolve into utility applications. like an RC snow blower, Robotics, Robot Warriors, we can replicate " Atari Tank " we make a mule that can tow wagons and coolers, There are all kinds of things we can do with this.
More to come guys I have tons of cool DIY projects coming. Im a little different I am an engineering with a 30 plus year background machine automation. Yeah I can make some cool stuff and Im going to show you how.
